Tried all the sponges: thin, thick, perforated and not, white and gray. Everything crumbles, but they crumble less with embossing, only they become thinner over time. I use the name brand Magic Erasers every day. The stronger, textured version is nearly on par with the original, name brand. They are a little shorter in length, but are taller and wider. These are such a better bargain. Even if you don't get as many uses. Even with the name brand I only get a few uses out of it.
