These actually work quite well. It takes a lot of pressure to snap the post into the bar, but it stays there once it is. Post is also sturdy.

As a support rather for not so heavy plants. Support for spatiphyllum yes, support for zamioculcas - this plant is already too heavy. The individual parts cannot be connected to each other in the upper part.
